Their love story began in 2005. After losing his daughter Cassie, Nick Newman was angry with then eventually formed a friendship with Phyllis Summers. They started a steamy affair in December 2005 that grew into a deep, passionate love. Nick eventually divorced Sharon and married Phyllis, not once but three times. They have a daughter, Summer Ann. Phyllis left Nick. Nick and Phyllis divorced. Finally, after a few short scenes to remind us that Phick was ever together, in April 2011 Phick had one night of passion down in St. Barts. Then nothing. 2011 was not a great year for Nick & Phyllis, except for Maria's one good idea of St. Barts. However, she seems to have started off 2012 with the bright idea that yes, maybe Nick & Phyllis are better together. After spending NYE with others, Nick showed up at Phyllis' door in the middle of the night, one thing led to another & Phick did what they do best. Nick admitted to Phyllis he still had feelings for her but Phyllis is still afraid to jump back into anything since Nick just slept with her sister. Will Phick EVER get a real defined relationship? Will Maria ever give them the story they deserve? Let's hope 2012 IS the year of Phick...

Phyllis had a moment of stupidity this year & had a really stupid "relationship" with Ronan. But she could never quite forget Nick so Ronan dumped her. Nick came to her on NYE so they slept together but even though Phyllis could not stop thinking of Nick during Xmas, she is confused & scared to jump into a relationship with Nick again.
